Welcome to Late Winter 2012

(February 1, 2012) Happy New Year Post 5040! If you made it this far, then you probably have seen some slight changes to our web site. Very subtle. I have not updated it in a while and since I have not been doing the newsletter, no new calendar entries have been going up either. I'll see if there is anything I can do for that to keep our members up to date.

There has been talk at our monthly meetings that we need to get the newsletter going again in order to keep you, our members, informed of what is going on. It has been a slow process. There are a few people that have expressed interest, but it has not really taken off. I do feel bad in some ways that the newsletter has ceased to exist. I'm hoping that one of these days someone will make the effort like I did in 2002 and just run with it. I'm willing to share the information that I learned and pass it along to the next person. Just let me know.

Our monthly meetings have kept on and we have an average of about 25 people per meeting. If you have nothing to do on the third Monday of the month, you should come down to the Post about 6:00 pm, have dinner with some of your fellow members, then attend the meeting. Of course, many only come for the dinner (it's cheap) and skip the meeting, but it's a chance to reconnect to some of those people you haven't seen in months or years.

I also want to put this out there. If anyone in our membership would like to enhance our web site, have suggestions for change, or would like to revamp it, I'm all ears. I'm not that artistic and go for "simple" things. But if you'd like a challenge and have some ideas, let me know.
