This is our August calendar of meetings and/or events taking place at the Post for the month of August, 2010. Post members, if you see a date that is not right or want something added, please e-mail the website administrator.

For the general public, remember that the VFW bar is open to you as well. You don't have to be a member to drink at the bar or eat at the Friday night meals. Come visit us.

Upcoming dates and events to remember:

•  August 4-8: The McHenry County Fair.
•  August 5: Ladies Auxiliary Meeting at 7:00 pm.
•  August 12: VFW Board meeting at 7:00.
•  August 16: VFW 5040 Meeting. Dinner at 6:30, formal meeting at 7:00.
•  August 21-26: 111th VFW National Convention Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis Indiana.
•  August 26: VFW Board meeting at 7:00.
•  September 1: Deadline for the next issue of the VFW News.
